About Tracy

“Aunty Oxidant” aka Tracy Yue

Healthful cooking coach & nutrition educator Tracy KS Yue provides hands-on coaching to individuals, youth, families and small groups   in your kitchen. Her business One Dish At A Time also offers home/office delivery of the “Dish of the Week”,  personal chef services and small event catering.  She specializes in tasty, inexpensive, healthful dishes made from locally grown produce. You will learn how to include more vegetables, whole grains and whole foods in your lifestyle — one dish at a time.

For the Minneapolis Farmers Market,  she developed “Little Locavores”, a hands-on cooking demo show for families.

As “Aunty Oxidant”, Tracy engaged kids in interactive skits, games and songs about farmers, vegetables and vitamins. In each show Tracy and kids used fresh vegetables from the farmers’ stalls next door to make an easy, flavorful salad.

Tracy holds a Dietetic Technology degree from Normandale Community College, MN Food Safety certificate, a BA in communications (UMN-TC) and years of experience of cooking and enjoying food. Her previous career was in marketing communications, event organizing and editing, for both corporate and non-profit organizations.

Tracy coaches you to improve cooking skills & nutrition.

Tracy currently serves as President of the Board of the Assoc of Universalist Women (AUW) affiliated with the First Universalist Church community. She has volunteered with Free Arts MN, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre and Youth Farm and Market Project. You might see her singing in a choir, performing occasionally in children’s shows (“Aladeen and the Magic Lamp”) and leading youth craft classes. She has avidly eaten local foods in more than 20 countries and, for ten years called Hong Kong home, before returning to her hometown Minneapolis.

I had no beginning and I shall have
no end: the beam of light
stretches out before and behind
and I cook the vegetables
for a few minutes only,
the fewer the better. Butter
and serve. Here is my
philosophy: butter and serve.”

from “Ladies and Gentlemen in Outer Space”
