AUNTY OXIDANT BRINGS FUN & FOOD TO YOUR COMMUNITY EVENT!

June 2013 Demos – done
July & Aug Demos – TBA

“Aunty Oxidant” teaches kids (and adults) how to prepare veggie treats and delicious salads made from vegetables bought right there in the farmers’ market!

My demo features hands-on cooking, free samples and prep tips. These interactive sessions engage and educate all ages about how and why to get more veggies in your diet.

I also created a show aimed at kids and families called “Little Locavores”, which features interactive skits, songs, goofy games or quizzes. Little Locavores was originally developed for the Minneapolis Farmers’ Market on Lyndale Ave in 2009. I demo’d three times each Sunday morning during the summer! Each week featured a different vegetable and dish. Naturally, the audience would be inspired to go buy those veggies on the spot and make the dish at home.

Comments From A Happy Mom: “Thanks for introducing all kinds of veggies to my girls, Izzy and Vivian. For some reason, the same veg presented by me is not nearly as enticing. Izzy blogged about you and making zucchini linguine. See you next Sunday!

Besides the farmers markets, I’ve done demos at community fairs, schools, outdoor neighborhood gatherings and even corporate offices. Aunty Oxidant will go anywhere!

I take both paid & pro bono bookings depending on the type of event. The demos w/o volunteers typically take 20-30 minutes. Little Locavore demos range from 40 – 50 min.
